The Annual Meeting is held each spring and brings the regional business community together to celebrate GNHCC's achievements while looking forward to the coming year. It features the election of Board of Directors and the presentation of the Corporate Heritage Awards, which honors businesses that have operated successfully for more than 100 years. This breakfast attracts more than 500 CEOS and business leaders throughout the state.
The Chamber Wellness Challenge is an inaugural event that focuses on the health benefits of walking and teamwork. Presented by GNHCC's Health Care & Life Sciences Council, and open to GNHCC partners and non-partners, discover how easy it is to live a healthier and happier lifestyle. This competitive walking challenge concludes with awards at the Regional Health Care & Life Sciences Breakfast.
The Regional Real Estate and Construction Forecast is a high profile event that attracts industry leaders who highlight current projects and forecast real estate construction projects for the South Central Connecticut region. This event attracts over 300 attendees.
The Regional Health Care & Life Sciences Awards Breakfast is an annual networking event presented by the Chamber's Health Care & Life Sciences Council. Wellness awards are presented to Health Care Superstars. It also features a keynote speaker or panel discussion, and exhibits from health care partners. This event draws over 250 attendees.
The Policy Summit & Summer Bash is an event that will recap the the Legislative session with a facilitated discussion about policy issues that are relevant and meaningful to the business community. Attendees will hear perspectives on policies and topics including workforce development, transportation, manufacturing, and health care. After the summit, join the regional business community for an evening networking, food tastings, wine & spirits, and live entertainment. This event draws over 300 attendees.
The Business Leadership Awards Luncheon is an annual event that recognizes individuals and businesses that have exhibited exceptional leadership skills and are active participants in business and/or community organizations. Business are nominated by peer chamber partners to receive awards. It also features the prestigious Community Leadership Award. This signature event attracts more than 500 attendees.
Women's Achievement Awards Luncheon is an event that honors women who exhibit exceptional business or community leadership skills which produce noteworthy results, supports/mentors women in business, and active participation in business and/or community organizations. This event attracts over 175 attendees.
The Big Connect Business Expo features an impressive lineup of speakers and provides new opportunities to build business connections. Highlights include the Nonprofit Awards Breakfast, The Big Taste, & The Big Bash. This is an all-day event that draws several thousand people.
The Regional Economic Outlook features guest speakers who share their perspectives on the regional, state, and national economy for each year. This event attracts over 200 attendees.
The Regional Legislative Breakfast is an event supported by the GNHCC Governmental Affairs Committee. The event features conversations with legislators, and is attended by local mayors and first selectmen of the Greater New Haven area. This event attracts over 275 attendees.
The Internship & Career Fair is held annually and attracts both career seekers and employers in the Greater New Haven region. This event is FREE, open to the public, and offers a comprehensive array of benefits – educational seminars and speakers, resume strategies, career coaching, networking, and company exhibitors looking to fill high demand roles in a variety of industries. This event draws over 200 attendees annually.
Morning Mingle is a monthly networking event; a vital component in GNHCC's array of benefits. It offers the opportunity for business people from both large and small companies, representing almost every facet of their organizations, to come together for networking and educational programming from our Councils (Health Care & Life Sciences, Small Business, Human Resource, Technology, Nonprofit, Women in Networking, Diversity & Inclusion, and the Energy Round Table). This event is held on the 4th Wednesday of every month, except in November & December, from 7:30-9:30am.
Business After Hours (BAH) is a monthly event where local business professionals have an opportunity to network in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. This relationship-building experience is held from 5:30-7:30pm at partner businesses and features incredible cuisine and drinks.
Women in Network (WIN) is an event where our Women's Networking group promotes the spirit of friendship, comradery, and professional development by supporting one another's career goals, sharing ideas, providing mutual encouragement, recognizing the contributions of women in our community, and encouraging others to join us in our pursuits.
