Greater New Haven Chamber Commends Alexion AstraZeneca’s Expansion in New Haven

New Haven, CT – April 8th, 2021 – Alexion AstraZeneca announced on Thursday its planned expansion in New Haven with space at the new bioscience space currently under construction at 101 College Street. The Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce commends the Alexion AstraZeneca’s expansion in New Haven.

“The Greater New Haven Chamber commends Alexion AstraZeneca’s expansion in New Haven and further investment into the City. This expansion demonstrates the growing potential that the bioscience industry, a critical component of Connecticut’s economy, sees in the New Haven region and its regional talent pool. The expansion is a continuation of growth for the increasing cluster of bioscience companies in the New Haven region. The expanded lab space at 101 College Street will be key to address the concerns over lab space in the State and we are enthusiastic of the work that will be conducted in the new space. We wish Alexion AstraZeneca continued success as they expand their footprint in New Haven,” said Garrett Sheehan, President & CEO of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce.

Alexion AstraZeneca is also a participating company in the Student Program to Ready Interns for Next-generation Talent (SPRINT) which is actively recruiting candidates for Summer 2022 paid internships. This program aims to provide over 100 paid opportunities in the life-science industry this summer to students attending Connecticut Colleges and Universities, as well as students with ties to Connecticut.
