    Greater New Haven Chamber to Honor The Narrative Project with the 2022 Sharon Clemons Equity & Inclusive Opportunity Award at 228th Annual Meeting & Business Leadership Awards 

     

    New Haven, CT – October 4th, 2022 – The Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce recently announced that the recipient of the Sharon Clemons Equity & Inclusive Opportunity Award for 2022 is The Narrative Project. The Narrative Project will be honored at the Chamber’s 228th Annual Meeting and Business Leadership Awards, presented by ConnectiCare and TD Bank, on Thursday, October 13th from 3pm to 6pm at the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale (155 Temple Street, New Haven, CT 06510). The event will feature the election and installation of new board members and a celebration of the regional business community’s accomplishments. Business leadership and regional community impact will be celebrated with a cocktail reception featuring live entertainment, networking, hors d'oeuvres, and drinks. 

     

    The Narrative Project started as a conversation platform in 2015, founded on the belief that every cause seeking to enact positive societal change deserves support and assistance. The organization launched as Connecticut’s only anti-racist and social justice public relations agency and works collaboratively to improve individual and organizational race relations and normalize all intersections of identity. The organization now partners with over 30 organizations statewide and has worked to support just and equitable storytelling alongside mission-driven organizations around the globe. 

     

    Individuals and businesses will be honored in an array of categories at the October 13th event. The Achievements in Manufacturing Award is being presented to Ulbrich Stainless Steels and Special Metals. The Small Business Leadership Award will be presented to Pacifico Group (Pacifico, Villa Lulu, Bulldog Hot Dogs, and Tomatillo) and Farnam Realty GroupLindy Lee Gold, Senior Development Specialist for Connecticut’s Department of Economic and Community Development, is being honored with the Volunteer of the Year Award. The Alumnus of the Leadership Center Award will be presented to Paul Lavoie, Connecticut’s Chief Manufacturing Officer. Vin Petrini, Senior Vice President and Chief Policy and Communications Officer for the Yale New Haven Health System, will be awarded the William Lanson Community Leadership Award, a lifetime achievement award. The Chamber will recognize Foxon Park Beverages, Inc. for 100 years of service with the Corporate Heritage Award, sponsored by Bank of America. 

     

    All event attendees will be registered for a chance to win a grand prize which includes two round-trip tickets for Avelo Airlines, an overnight stay at the New Haven Hotel, a $100 gift card to New Haven restaurant, Villa Lulu, and more.
