Nonprofits Look to Diversify Boards During Board Recruitment Fair

New Haven, CT – May 6th, 2022 – The Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce is hosting its first ever Nonprofit Board Recruitment Fair, presented by The Good Karma Coffee Company, on Wednesday, May 11th, from 3pm to 5pm at Albertus Magnus College in the Hubert Campus Center (700 Prospect Street, New Haven, CT 06511). This Fair is intended for those interested in engaging with the nonprofit community and adding their perspectives and talents to board service.

The goal of this event is to facilitate connections between nonprofits with board opportunities and professionals in the region. Attendees will be able to meet organizations with board openings, network with those who have shared passions, and learn how board service can affect change. Attendees will have the opportunity to identify which nonprofit’s mission aligns with their own values and interests by directly communicating with nonprofits.

“The Chamber created the Nonprofit Board Recruitment Fair after the nonprofits in our Nonprofit Resource Council identified the need to diversify their boards. Board service is a critical component of building stronger communities and addressing issues in the region, and we hope that this event will further support the important work nonprofits do,” said Garrett Sheehan, President & CEO of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce.
