Bridging Worlds: Wines from Iconic Vineyards The 15th Annual Mary Wade Wine Dinner will be bridging worlds, communities and generations as guests raise a glass — and funds — in support of the Mary Wade Home. Bridging Worlds: Wines from Iconic Vineyards is hosted by Thomas Matthews, Editorial Advisor of Wine Spectator, the evening will celebrate the work of Mary Wade with exceptional wines from iconic vineyards and iconic families. Together with the evening’s special guests, third-generation winemaker Gina Gallo and Connecticut’s only Master of Wine, Nicholas Paris, explore winemaking traditions passed from one generation to the next with the vibrancy of white wines from Friuli Venezia Giulia’s Jermann family, the excitement of Rosso wine from Mt. Etna’s volcanic slopes and the rich history of Barolo from one of its most prominent wineries, Renato Ratti. Discover the bridge between Old World and New as you cross continents, toasting with sparkling wine and Chardonnay from California’s Russian River Valley, the layered nuances of Pinot Noir from Sleepy Hollow Vineyard in California’s scenic Santa Lucia Highlands and Cabernet Sauvignon from one of Napa Valley’s most influential original wineries, Louis M. Martini, and their truly unique and historic 133-year-old Monte Rosso Vineyard. This incomparable evening includes a four-course dinner and wine pairings, one-of-a-kind live auction lots and more.
