Tweed Environmental Assessment Informational Webinar
Tweed New Haven Airport recently released its Environmental Assessment (EA). Tweed was required to complete this process for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as part of the process to expand the airport. This expansion includes the extension of the runway and the construction of a new terminal. The EA highlights that the airport's future environmental impact is minimized in terms of air quality, noise, wetlands, wildlife, and traffic impact.
Currently, Tweed is in a comment period accepting letters and verbal testimony at an April 1st meeting. We need the business community to show their support.
We are asking you, as members of the business community, to show your support by writing a letter of support or by attending the Saturday, April 1st public hearing and testifying in person. We are making this process as easy and simple as possible. In this webinar, you will hear highlights from the airport's environmental assessment, the impact this will have on the business community, and how you can be involved in the process.
