Job Description Summary:
The Sales Account Manager will operate as the lead point of contact for certain accounts and be responsible for managing and expanding existing client relationships and developing new client relationships for Pinpoint. The ideal candidate is an experienced sales professional in the world of marketing, branding, and related products with a minimum of 2 years outside sales experience. Responsibilities also include collaborating with our internal departments to successfully execute projects with the primary objective of increasing business sales by providing ongoing value and creative ideas to help improve and grow our client’s business.
So, what will you actually be doing?
Managing and proactively growing existing client accounts.
Obtain net new business/sales by maintaining consistent communications and developing relationships with prospects through effective presentations, phone calls, email campaigns, and social selling.
Maintain all pertinent sales data and activities in our Pinpoint Pipeline platform and provide weekly monthly and quarterly forecasts identifying progress and a consistent stream of new opportunities in the pipeline.
Proactively call and meet with clients/prospects both in-person and virtually to present ideas and educate them on Pinpoint’s capabilities.
Communicating directly with clients about project details and the status of their needs including ideas, concepts, products, pricing, proofs, turnaround times, shipping and similar particulars.
Developing detailed creative briefs and presentation decks according to the customer’s needs and objectives.
Collaborating with designers, production specialists, project managers, and creative thinkers to present, develop and execute marketing and branding programs for clients.
Identify and attend trade shows or conferences, use Google alerts, conduct lunch and learns, and stay informed about our industry and trends to enhance the value we provide to clients and prospects.
Skills and requirements needed to succeed:
3+ years of proven and relevant experience in account management/sales. Prior agency sales preferred.
Demonstrated track record of growing accounts.
Knowledge of advertising, marketing, agency, or sales industry required. Production knowledge preferred.
Exceptional and adaptable interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
A confident attitude that fuels a genuine desire to want to help businesses and people improve and succeed.
Ability to manage and organize multiple customers and projects simultaneously across several departments.
Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail.
This is a salary + bonus position.
